For parents across the world, the love you feel for your child is fierce and the fear of losing them incomprehensible.
But for parents of children with epilepsy this is a fear they face every night when tucking their child into bed.
PulseGuard™ helps reduce this fear by watching over your child all night and alerting you as soon as their heart rate rises or falls, allowing parents to get some much needed rest so that you can give the best possible care to yourself and your family in the morning.
PulseGuard™ Mark II is a pioneering heart rate monitor specifically developed to alert to health conditions which cause a sudden change in heart rate. Possible uses could be Seizures, Choking, hyperglycemia, as well as many others.
The PulseGuard™ Mk-II system consists of two components: a lightweight watch type sensor that communicates via Bluetooth with the PulseGuard™ Mk-II tablet.
The lightweight heart monitoring sensor can be comfortably worn on either the wrist or ankle (for small babies the upper leg) and does not interfere with the user’s sleep.
The sensor constantly monitors the wearer’s heart rate and sends data to the PulseGuard™ Mk-II tablet that is located in the same room approximately 1 to 2 meters adjacent to the sensor.
The sensor works by using infrared light technology that detects the blood flow under the skin and transmits this wirelessly via Bluetooth to the PulseGuard™ tablet, where it is converted by our dedicated software to continuously display the wearers heart rate.
Please be aware, if the sensor is removed whilst actively monitoring a person it may not indicate removal and will provide false heart rate information.
*The sensor you receive may not be the sensor shown in this image.
The tablet processes this constant flow of data and will raise an alert if the wearer’s heart rate falls outside the normal parameters, which are individually programmed and tailored to each wearer’s unique heart rate.
